IETE, through its members, provides leadership in a number of scientific and technical areas of direct importance to the national development and the economy. IETE is serving through its 51 centers located all over the country. It endeavors to respond to the needs of fast changing and emerging technologies and strengthens the cause and competence of the profession by enabling those involved keeping abreast of the technological frontiers.

With the growth of corporate membership to about 234 members including about 40 fellow members as per the current strength, the activities of Amravati Center have been growing in line with the directions of IETE Head Quarters. The Center has been arranging regular technical lectures as a part of continuing education programs for the members and these are always well attended. In addition, the center arranges atleast one 2 days seminar and one or two one day seminars on specialized topics every year. The World Telecommunication Day is also Celebrated every year and a wide section of Center members participate in these technical programs. In addition to conducting regular coaching classes for the grade IETE examinations and the DIP IETE examinations, the centre has been conducting these examinations with due care.
